"WAVE" - Neuer Funkstandard für drahtlose Verkehrsleitssysteme von der IEEE genehmigt
Das "Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc." (IEEE) hat dem Start des fünften Mitglieds seiner "WAVE Radio Standard" Familie zugestimmt, welches die anderen WAVE-Standards integrieren wird, so dass ein gutes Zusammenwirken gesichert ist. Diese Art von Standards legt Spezifikationen für eine Art von drahtloser Kommunikation fest, die es zulässt, dass Kraftfahrzeuge mit anderen Autos und mit Systemen am Straßenrand zusammenwirken, um Sicherheitsinformationen und verkehrsbezogene Daten abzurufen.
